Hey there,

It’s Stevie from fashiontribes.com posting early (yay!!!) for my podcast. After all, it’s a short week *(though not for me as I am behind the proverbial 8 ball on deadlines– but then again, when am I not?)

Since it is almost Thanksgiving and a short week (please don’t forget about us.. or the blog.. while you are off chowing on turkey, snoring during the games) , I wanted to talk about shopping for the holidays. After all, Friday kicks off the holiday season (though the stores have been working on us since August)So today I am doing something special: an interview with  Catherine Rigod, copy editor, writer, editor for a variety of publications including the new BEAUTYNEWSLA.COM . Catherine is based in San Francisco and while it might seen that as a 20 something she might not have a lot in common with 40 something moi, there is really a lot in common– we both love to save money. We both love to shop  places like Target and drugstores.

So pull up your chair, grab some joe and  give a listen to our sometimes convoluted conversation about why you should shop at places like Target, Walgreens and RiteAid– our individual reasons might be different but overall we shop there for lots of stuff.

Here’s the essence of the podcast but you "gotta" listen to get all the details… I just won’t give it all away!

1) Convenience
2) Price
3) Multi-tasking  and maximizing  your ability to get more than just one thing
4) Shopping hours– these stores are open LONGER hours and daily compared to the department stores
5) Returns are much easier to deal with too providing you keep a receipt..

I refuse to give any more away. Take a listen and let me know what you think!

See you at the beauty counter (yeah.. that one at Target or Rite Aid)
