There’s nothing I like better than talking about denim– scratch that. That’s second! My most favorite thing is FINDING a hot new denim line and being able to find out the scoop (for you!) on what’s hot about this lline. When it comes to Denim of Virtue– this is one sizzling line and I can’t find a single thing I wouldn’t buy — and some things I would buy in multiple colors like dark wash,  dark black, shades of grey and the beloved stone wash look as well– with same color and contrast stitching too.  There’s a lot to choose from with flap pockets–or not– boot cut, slim boot cut, skinny leg and straight leg  to worry about embellishments that  have long since gone "buhbye"!

So give a listen to the podcast with Tadd Zarubica, CEO and designer with street creds that will blow you away. The man has done his time TEACHING at FIDM and Otis here in LA plus he was one of the driving forces in HUDSON Jeans and YANUK Jeans as well as other areas of fashion.

Patience Straight Leg with Black Wash

The man knows his stuff and it shows  in the podcast. Tadd is distinctly aware of all the little details and the point of Denim of Virtue (DOV) is that it’s got the basics down and has a variety of presentations that everyone will want  in colors that will stay the fashion course for years. *yes I said YEARS!"

So be prepared to download this baby to your ipod or take notes darlin’ to make sure you get the styles of DOV down that you want to check out. Because how you wear your denim isn’t as important as how you look in them– and to women, it’s all about making the rear view amazing and for guys *yes there are designs for guys!!) will love the simplicity and the fits.

Mens Jeans

What I really liked about the brand was that Tadd had really taken care of all the details. He had looked at the current state of the denim market, noticed what worked–and what wasn’t working– in his opinion. Given that he had already created two top brands, he was interested in creating a brand for the long haul not just something that was going to be in for a couple of years and then out. What he wanted was a "staple jean" that was part of a basic wardrobe that you could dress up or down as your life demanded. Given the straight leg versus skinny leg phenomena, the straight leg is going to sell more (IMHO) than the skinny.

Tadd also made a change in the fit of the boot cut leg too to make it a bit better balanced (listen to the podcast!!)  for certain body types by creating a smaller or narrower boot cut with a smaller and lower break and a narrower width to the leg.

More Men’s Jeans.. They fit nicely don’t they?

As you can tell from the podcast, Tadd and I were talking a lot. The podcast started after we had already talked for over 20+ minutes and after it was done, we kept on talking.

Patience Tapered Leg

Given that Hudson and Yanuk are still on the scene but in "transition" because of the changes in the brands and demands of the market, you are going to see a lot more re-tooling of different brands as they become less popular due to the move away from embellishment.

What you will see is a move to an awareness of a need for different fits for different body types as woman change body shapes over time and that women by necessity come in different shapes and sizes. You can change the image by selecting the right style for your body type. Tadd gives you tips on which jeans for different body types in the podcast.

What’s not to like when you have the basics covered with Denim of Virtue by CEO and  legendary denim designer Tadd Zarubica   (Besides Tadd’s great eye candy too!)
