Did you get a chance to see TRANSFORMERS this summer? I skipped it thinking it was just a rip off the Hasbro toy… and was more of a kids movie.
I managed to snag a copy of the DVD and I am kicking my A$$ that I didn’t see this one in the theater because it was a GREAT movie and would have been better on a big BIG screen rather than my 52 inch tv!
This jam-packed thrill ride of a movie was worth every second and would be worth seeing again and again just to see the fab animation and the integration of the actors with the animated machines.
How they did it, I don’t know but Spielberg is behind it and we all know how great he is with bringing out the kid in all of us. <

The cast is well done– though I was surprised at the chops of Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel and not at Shia LaBeouf ( read my Disturbia review and see why) . He leads the cast and along with Jon Voight and Bernie Mac who has his funny moments but also shows that he’s a great supporting character actor. The rest of the cast includes Tyrese Gibson, Rachael Taylor, Anthony Anderson, John Turturro, Michael O’Neill, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Amaury Nolasco, Peter Cullen, Hugo Weaving, Mark Ryan, Jess Harnell, and Robert Foxworth,
The interesting part of the movie is actually the integration and the great plot that was actually derived and not played for camp but serious effect without being overly dramatic.
This amazing movie was created by director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg featuring the heroic Autobots® and the evil Decepticons®.
When their epic struggle comes to Earth, all that stands between the Decepticons® and ultimate power is a clue held by young Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf).
Unaware that he is mankind’s last chance for survival, Sam and Bumblebee, his robot disguised as a car, are in a heart-pounding race against an enemy unlike anything anyone has seen before. Spiegel gives us a movie that takes our breath away like the rollercoaster thrill movies when we were kids. And we can still be kids again!
