Via Maris is a new online boutique that is based out of NYC. You might think (*ho hum– nothing new about that). There is where the news happens — right here. Via Maris is a quintessentially unique boutique because of the way it’s structured and how the buyer, owner Veronique Maris, selects the things she sells.
Think of ViaMarisNYC.com as both a fashion-based boutique (men, women and children) and also a home furnishings store where you can find great objects d’art and also collectibles that are truly one of a kind. This is one of those rare stores , that were you able to step one foot inside you would be roaming the store for hours– and coming back with friends. What ViaMarisNYC.com offers you is the ease and convenience of virtual shopping and still finding the most unusual items for your wardrobe and for gift giving.
As I have gone through this site over and over again– and I keep going there and discovering new things, I have found a few things that I absolutely lust over (beyond the Bebop bag that Feteafete.com’s Tami swooned over. Many a day we IM’ed back and forth finding cool things.
The Bebop Bag
I have picked out a couple of items that that you should see. These items have some style sensibility that will really last and actually make you stand out in the crowd of “trendanistas” . Great style comes from walking to your own beat- and you create your own look apart from trends. You just have to look a bit harder– and I just saved you the effort.
The jewelry section is where I get lost– totally enraptured with so many different pieces. I went for the simple things first because 1) it’s more affordable and more flexible with the kinds of things I like to wear (high/low, mixing up different styles of pieces)
These two “rosary” necklaces are really fun- and very functional as necklaces and yet they have a singular style that I find iconic. The real deal, these are made from pearls yet each is only $110.00. (I have seen faux rosaries cost more than twice that price without having a single genuine gemstone in them.)
The Teresa Rosary is a long strand of cultured pearls in grey. See the photo on the page of how it’s often worn.
Before you go tossing it into your shopping cart, take a look at this other “rosary” necklace. It is the real deal– a genuine rosary.
This is a rosary of tiny pearls featuring eight tiny tin “protective” medals. It’s 24 inches in length so you can double it up if you like. This has a very vintage-y feel to it– reminds me of the “1920’s” ropes of pearls. It’s only $110.00 for real pearls.
My last choice for you is from the handbag section (sigh). I had a hard time choosing but I love metallic bags– and this one comes in three colors: gold, copper and silver. This allows you a bright splash of color yet is also a neutral to play off depending on what you are wearing. It’s definitely a great travel piece too.
The Meeting Bag is made from soft napa leather and it’s done in 3 gorgeous metallics. Definitely a statement bag, it says you have arrived. What I love about it is that it’s soft, lush and also quite affordable at only $330.00. I have seen other bags and more than $700.00. So hurry up and snatch one of these babies up. They aren’t going to last forever!
I spoke so long to Veronique Maris, the owner/buyer/curator of this lovely online store that she offered all you wonderful people a gift if you find something you just have to buy at www.viamarisnyc.com . The gift of free shipping with the coupon code of : LA-Story.com (got to have the dot com in there too!). So don’t forget the free shipping code should you decide to dive into this fabulous online store.
You won’t regret it….. and think about the great things you can get for holidays that no one else will have. You have will scored original, eclectic things.
So have fun, support the economy and start shopping. It won’t hurt nearly as much because the prices are so incredible!!
See you at ViaMarisNYC.com. I will shopping my heart (and credit card ) out.
