Emerging designer, Lisa Michelle,
presented her Spring 2009 collection on Thursday at a GENART LA .
Having studied design at Otis College of Art and Design, Lisa Michelle interned for designers Michelle Mason and Jeremy Scott simulatneiously. Lisa Michelle designed for
Rozae Nichols and Monique Lhuillier before launching her own collection. Inspired by the unique beauty of European fabrics and trims that she had selected, she artfully designed a collection of women´s clothing with intense detail to construction and finishing. Lisa Michelle is a talented designer who truly understands the architecture of a woman’s body and translates the dresses, jackets, camis, and skirts into interesting confections that definitely capture the eye and show off the feminine figure.
Here’s a few images of her collection– you can check out more on her website: www.Lisamichellecollection.com
A silk charmeuse banded dress in canary. ( love this color. It’s so perfect for year-round wear).
A distinctly spring-summer dress, this cherry blossom print dress features tie shoulders. It’s deliciously fun and sexy.
A cap-sleeved tiered dress in silk charmeuse in a soft lilac.
Carnary silk organza layered dress is a flirty silhouette.
Sexy elegance is seen in this one-shouldered dress with ruching and draping that make it the most versatile dress that can be changed up by accessories and your own personal style. This one smokes!
Prices run from $98.00 (camisoles) to about $450.00 ( jacquard coat dress) with the silk dresses running about $250.00 (some running a touch more) Given the feminine, sexy feel to this line — with a somewhat whimsical approach– it’s definitely worth buying a couple of items. It would be a perfect icing for the holiday season and would be ideal for spring and summer wear as well. Keep it fresh by changing accessories.
