While we wonder about how to turn back the hands of time– particularly when it comes to the lines, sagging and wrinkles on our faces, we often turn to skincare. While skincare does do some things, it isn’t the perfect solution. Often people turn to injections and other procedures like microdermabrasion or lasers to help firm and tone the face. However those kinds of treatments are often pricy and they don’t last forever.
Rachael Ray had a “Human Lab” segment on her tv show that features real people testing out products or treatments to see if they really work or not. These average women allowed Ray’s video crew to come into their homes and lives and tape them as they used these various products. Not every product gets a rave review.
Here’s one product that seemed to make the human guinea pig very happy:
Facial Magic. , a system of facial exercise.
I’m the woman, I’m supposed to look good!”

Madeline, 43, can only see one thing when she looks in a mirror now. “I just see someone getting old,” she says. Madeline admits that she’s not ready to look old — at least not older than her husband. “He’s seven years older than me,” she says, “and people either think we’re the same age, or maybe I’m older than him!” Madeline believes she would feel more confident if her face started looking better, so she tries Facial Magic, which claims to strengthen and contour the muscles of the face through facial exercises. Six weeks later, Madeline says, “I love the way it feels, and I love the results — it’s bringing my age a little younger, and I love that part of it.”
Dr. Loretta Ciraldo ( dermatologist) weighs in. “The same way that all of us are thinking about toning our biceps and triceps,” she says, “we should think about toning out facial muscles too.”
I have been trying this system too and have been very pleased with the results thus far. It’s a system of exercise so it’s an ongoing process and it’s a fix that will get better over time as long as one keeps it up!
