What's On Your Calendar? Hot Events to Check Out!

Ok.. I get so many emails about all kinds of events, that I thought I should share some 411 with all of you. After all, if you are reading this, maybe you can go to this event and let me know what YOU think about it. Give me some feedback and I will give you a byline or do something with it.
Here’s what’s coming up
1) A La Prairie event on Thursday 8/20 at Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills with the fabulous make-up artist and beauty ambassador Raychel Wade. Call now for reservations. Cost is $175 — redeemable in cosmetics and skincare . (remember the Platinum Cream? It’s that good!)
2)Ladies, rev your fashion motor!. Clean out your closet in the first ever YELP + W Los Angeles/Westwood Clothing Swap Event Join special guest hosts Marcy Medina (WWD Editor), Melissa Magsaysay (LA Times stylist) and Jennifer Birn (OK Magazine Editor) for fashion savvy advice in trading out up to 10 special new or very gently used items which you no longer have that loving feeling.
In others words, if it’s still sitting in that closet– unused, unloved, unworn– ditch it! The swap includes clothing, shoes, bags, accessories and make sure they are clean!
When you arrive, you can find other things from others wishing to swap out duds that could be your fab fashion find.
Any left-over items will be donated to Women Helping Women Bring more to donate if you wish. Women Helping Women (WHW) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering low income women to achieve self-sufficiency through employment success
