Batting a Thousand Lashes: Review of OTC Products for Long Lush Lashes, Part 4

Would you ever have thought there would be 4 or even 5 parts of this review> I didn’t think so till I managed to put them all together and realized there were many more over lots of months and some that I revisited to see if the things still worked (or didn’t).
I bet you are wondering if I really tried all these products. The answer is yes, It was really “eye-opening in terms of what I had heard, read, and experienced in personal application.

I had done an extensive search about a year ago when my lashes started breaking (can we say “stress”?) and heard positive things about this product and almost anything Mavala . I bought 3 bottles of Double Lash and (now there’s an Eye-Lite Double Lash as well). This is a pretty natural product– had lots of natural ingredients in it. I figured if anything would work this might. At $14 per bottle at the time, I figured I had nothing to lose. I will say that it softened my brittle lashes. It helped make them more flexible– however make them grow longer, thicker or darker? Nope, it didn’t happen for me despite 3 bottles with twice a day application. If you want a product that will keep lashes flexible this might be your ticket. Making them longer and thicker, maybe it worked for others, but it didn’t work for me.

MD Lash Factor is a relatively new entry into the market. The ingredient list isn’t readily available online but it is on the package and it looks pretty good to me. When I have used it, there hasn’t been a bit of irritation and surprisingly enough, I started seeing results in less than 14 days… and in 3 weeks I had noticeably longer lashes.
It’s not inexpensive at $140 per tube but it will last a long time and my brows are filling in as well. Again, it’s put on like the others — it’s a liner of the treatment. However, it didn’t really thicken my lashes but they did get a bit darker. They are very much longer than they were.
lamas lash masque.jpg
Lamas Lash Masque is a cross-over product that is certified organic botanical ingredients while providing conditioning plus a nice tint like mascara treatment. This is an interesting product. It works very much like a mascara so you can wear it all day and then use more of the other stuff and then put this on too I suppose.. though I didn’t do that. It’s not going into the lash base– because no mascara ever really gets there but it does a nice job of not shredding your lashes and it does provide nice separation and it’s easy to wash off. Worth trying out when you are doing the liner treatments at night and want something healthful & helpful during the day! Considering this is only $20.00 per tube, this is a pretty darn good mascara + treatment that would work well in conjunction with other treatments.
One more group of reviews– and it’s not going to be as many things probably– unless someone pops up with something I am not knowing about. However I think this was a wider variety of products than usual– with distinctively different results.
