Swarovksi Fashion Week: Ohne Titel Makes a Serious Fashion Statement
New York Fashion Week for Fall/Winter tends to deal in neutral colors, leaving brights and prints to spring; however there are usually a few designs within each collection that are brighter, “spotlight” colors. However it seems for Fall/Winter 2010 Fashion Week that many designers have the recessionista aesthetic and really scaled back their designs to more austere looks — with colors going hand in hand with them.
As part of the Swarovski Fashion Week line-up, fashion line Ohne Titel definitely exemplifies this presentation and while the colors stick to dark (black, brown, charcoal, grey) — almost dour — colors with a few hints of light grey or cream, the designs definitely make a statement.

The styles seem to feature a mix of references both European and nihilistic in their presentation. Joyful, youthful, or fun aren’t words to associate with this collection. Serious, almost Jil Sander-ish in taste mixed with hints of Yohji Yamamoto influences seem to be ever-present.

Yet this dynamic design duo have no trouble flouting some design issues (PETA) with a beautiful fur coat — that would definitely be a collectible. The layers of fur seem to be almost floating ruffles of fur.
While they dabbled very lightly in neutrals, the only real color — if you wish to call it that — is this deep mossy blackened green dress.
Unique in style, courtesy of the mix of chiffon and leather (leather being the predominant mix of alternative fabric/media in this collection), the look is still feminine. Tough but whimsical with the addition of racer-striped tights or leggings.
Keep your eyes peeled on Ohnie Titel in future seasons. This duo has a distinct fashion attitude not to be missed — or for the faint of fashion heart.
