Katy Heigl's Wardrobe "Malfunction" Has Tongues Wagging– For Many Reasons!
ShoWest in Las Vegas is as big and important event as the Oscars because this is from the industry like movie theaters and those who actually can make or break a movie by giving it more “breathing space” with extra theaters and longer time in theaters. While accepting the Female Star of the Year, Katie Heigl had a bit of fashion incident and was rescued by Billy Bush.
What’s interesting is the diversity of opinions or commentaries about this non-event. So her strap broke on her dress. Makes you wonder 1) where was the stylist that put her into a dress without some sort of intimate apparel or “coverage” for potential events like this. Heigl isn’t exactly small-busted so one has to plan ahead — or think about the dress and its’ construction to make everything work. and prevent these malfunctions from happening.
While Heigl handled this situation with aplomb and grace, I am sure some words were flying once she came off-stage. Heigl is known for not “holding back” when it comes to According to RightCelebrity.com , Heigl’s not always the friendly type as she has played in various roles. Her contract with Grey’s Anatomy is up in the air and quite frankly did anyone really miss Izzy this past season? The drama seemed to play just fine and with George gone, the balance of the female triumverate of Meredith, Christina and Izzy (particularly evident in the breast cancer scenario) , no longer seems to work since the addition of “Little Grey”, Kim Raver, Callie’s partner, the pedatric surgeon and other backstory players seem to have neatly filled in Heigl’s dynamic space.
It’s rather odd while RightCelebrity.com thinks this is “karma” coming back to bite Heigl, and there is no love for Katie by the blog, one almost has to agree with her points about Heigl’s attitude and lack of gratitude and appreciation. While I don’t personally know Ms. Heigl, I have been at an event with her and she made it clear that I was persona non grata when I was scheduled to interview then-fiancee Josh Kelly (if looks could kill).
I will say that Billy Bush is right on the money in making sure that the fashion disaster was averted and that Heigl handled the repair deftly and quickly.
