How I Get Stars Oscar-Night Ready

This is the best part about being an Aesthetician – getting to work on some of the most beautiful faces that walk the red carpet. This year was no exception as I got to put together beauty plans for old and new clients alike. You forget that even the most beautiful wake up with pimples and terrible circles under their eyes. Ahh to love them is to know they’re human :)

For me the count down began weeks ago, as I started to put together different plans for each of my clients. I have tried to compile all that I do and put it into a functional guide that you all can follow:

Let me start by saying most people don’t take care of their skin like they should and even after long days of make-up on the set they still come home and don’t always properly take care of their skin and it begins to show. With this comes clogged pores, breakouts, uneven skin texture, those pesky fine lines and severe dry/dull skin.

Here’s the overall plan I used this year before the Oscars and you can too if you need to get Red Carpet Ready!

Six Weeks Prior
My treatment plan usually begins with a skin resurfacing treatment, like microdermabrasion to address the multiple problems of sun and sun damaged skin. This year I did The Treatment, my new “Fountain of Youth” face and body treatment, to help my clients turn back the clock and erase the visible signs of aging in as little as six weeks.

The reason that I love to resurface is because of the quick results – you’ll notice that it minimizes the appearance of pores and wrinkles, refreshes dull skin, evens tone and dark spots.

Next part of The Treatment is to use a light splash of a chemical peel. These stimulate collagen production, decreasing the look of fine lines and wrinkles for the next month. With the right chemical peel you will see it really plumps up the skin by boosting collagen.

Next I use ultrasonic becuase it puts moisture back into the skin fast… When the skin is dehydrated, lines become more visible and the color looks sallow. I use my own formulation I call “THE DREAM CREAM” that’s packed full of antioxidants, peptides and epidermal growth factors to really freshen and brighten the skin by instantly energizing the cells and boosting circulation.

The Bottom Line: Regardless of what’s preventing your skin from looking it’s best, resurfacing and rehydrating can boost circulation to get your skin looking fabulous before your big day..
