It’s Thanksgiving and it’s going to be a L O N G day– with food, football, family, friends and fun. Why not enjoy the spirit of the gathering and have a cocktail du jour or two? Here are a couple from one of my favorite brands of tequila: Corzo Tequila. It’s unique double mellowed, triple distillation process defines modern luxury and creates an amazing taste in any cocktail !
The CORZO Pilgrimage
1 part Corzo Silver Tequila
3 parts Martini-Rossi Prosseco
3/4 parts honey syrup*
1/4 parts fresh lemon juice
1/4 of a ripe pear
**Process: In a mixing glass, muddle the pear in the honey syrup and lemon juice.
Then add Corzo Tequila and shake well with ice.
Strain into chilled champagne flute and top with Prosseco.
Garnish: pear slice and freshly grated nutmeg
Honey Syrup Recipe (courtesy of www.foodandwine.com)
1 cup honey
1/2 cup boiling water
Directions
In a small heatproof bowl, stir honey with water until dissolved. Let cool, then refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 month
Give the holiday some sparkle with Corzo Ruby Red, a delicious celebratory cocktail that can be served hot or cold.
CORZO Ruby Red
(Served Hot or Cold)
1 1/2 parts Corzo Reposado Tequila
1 part Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
1/2 parts Cinnamon Syrup**
Process: In a mixing glass, shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish: floating frozen cranberries and cinnamon stick
** Home-made cinnamon syrup:
take 1 cup sugar in the raw and 1 cup water,
put into saucepan with 3 cinnamon sticks.
Dissolve sugar over high heat, then simmer for 15 mins.
Remove cinnamon sticks, refrigerate, and serve.
FOR HOT RECIPE: Add 2 parts of Hot water to the above recipe.
