We work hard here on LA-Story.com. I just finished editing the story next story that will run because I was running last yesterday for a family Christmas Eve dinner and it was a beautiful day in LA (finally!). The sun was out and we decided to take Pacific Coast Highway south through Laguna and beyond down past Dana Point for the get-together.
We were there for hours — because the food, beverages and the company — both family and friends — was so wonderful. By the time we got home, it was late-ish but I could not sleep yet so I read.
While morning came way too fast (thankfully, I handled all the stockings.. though we lost a memento stocking hanger in the process), it was really interesting to see how well the shopping had fared and everyone seemed pretty happy.
Even the dog got a gift– now if he just doesn’t gut the reindeer to get the squeeker we would be happy.
As I get ready to go visit with and have “dinner/supper” with more family members, I wanted to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and that you have the chance to spend tiime with family — which is anyone who is close to you whether they are true relatives or simple related by common interests and philosophy. Those that stick with you, that care about you and love you — those are people to be cherished and events that bring you together are precious.

Don’t forget that some of the sales have already started online. So do hit the computer. Also while you put some of the Christmas swag away, realize that there are those in need and if you have anything you aren’t using or wearing, please set it aside and donate it to your local charities of your choice. I am donating things to the American Cancer Society as well as a battered women’s shelter.
