The fashion map for fall 2011 is all over the map. It might be confusing to most people what they should wear — because some looks that came down the runway were pretty avant-garde or even over the top. Or you could wind up looking really boring. In other words, choose wisely to make sure that you get the look right. If you have to work so hard to make the look work on you, then it’s not the right look for you. You have to subtract things to make it easy for you to “work it” so that it seems to be just your effortless style.
Luckily I was able to snag some video time with Gossip Girls stylist, Eric Daman who offered up some fabulous ideas and tips on how to pull together your look for Fall 2011. Some things are just adding to what you already have, others are more substantial purchases but no matter what it is, his smart choices make it easy for you to make the best of Fall 2011 work for you.

Love the two outfits. Personally I love both outfits but don’t see #1 top till later pm because it’s too hot right now in LA for sequins. Skirt rocks and the tights are the icing and glue on that pulls it together. Outfit #2: the colorblocking trick for fall is awesome. I love the colors. The floral tights work well as would the pin dot version. Just don’t go with a vertical pattern because it breaks the lines of the horizontal blocking!
More tights!!
Over the knee tights/socks.
I can see these in my closet and on me– along with a couple other styles for sure!!
