Food Artist and flavor innovator Robert Lambert has created a phenomenal taste sensation for holiday toasts and New Year’s celebrations. the name Robert Lambert can’t be new to you if you have been following my twitter, facebook or this blog! I had a heavenly post about his creations and his artistry is amazing. Now we have a cocktail for Christmas that is sheer perfection– well perfect if you bought the Cherries in Merlot Syrup. If not, you should do so now to get them in time for New Years Eve!
This utterly unique champagne cocktail is called… The Cherry Bomb.
You will need champagne flutes, Robert Lambert’s Dark Cherries in Merlot Syrup (an award winning versatile mix of sweet and savory)
and your favorite champagne (hmmm.. that’s going to require some thought Laurent Perrier perhaps? Perrier Jouet? Veuve Cliquot? (that’s the one I do like a lot – but look for a feature on Laurent Perrier)
Directions:
Swirl a little syrup around the inside of a champagne flute,
fill with champagne,
drop a Robert Lambert Dark Cherry into the center
(remove the pit if you’d like, or nibble around it later).
The taste is unlike anything you can describe… pure magic!

Now you can try this with regular cherries but it’s not going to taste anything like what this actually tastes like. These are cherries that have been soaked in merlot syrup so they are incredbily delicious!!
Happy sipping!!
