We kick off Celebrity Style Slam with our Trashionista round-up. This is the portion of our red carpet review where we feature those celebrities on the red carpet who totally blew it. (Some make it here repeatedly unfortunately). Nancy Lichtenstein jumps in with her savvy and witty commentary.
Louise Roe, Stylist and GMA/ABC contributor was on site and on pointe talking to celebrities about their apparel.
Oscar Best Actress Nominee, Glenn Close almost had a hit but totally struck out with the Zac Posen dress + tuxedo jacket. The jacket overwhelmed the best part of this dress and there is only one good angle on this dress and it’s the one in the photo.
Melissa McCarthy, another Oscar nominee walked the red carpet and she was just a “hot mess”. Overdone, overblown and over-embellished, this wasn’t a pleasant scene.
In the ultimate mistake of a marketing ploy, Sacha Baron Cohen made the huge mistake of appearing as the character in his soon to be released movie which is about a Middle Eastern Dictator. Not a smart film (I saw enough different trailers) and NOT a smart move to carry ashes (aka dry pancake batter) and spill them on the red carpet and then more deliberately on Ryan Secrest.
Thank you to Nancy Lichtenstein for her valuable assistance!! Feel free to comment!
