The Oscars are over but that doesn’t mean we don’t look back at photos to see how we can replicate the looks of favorite celebs on the Oscar red carpet or the afterparties!
Sofia Vergara: Hairstylist Jen Atkin
Beauty Inspiration:“
We wanted something soft and romantic to go with her white Robert Cavalli gown and white Lorraine Schwartz earrings. We were inspired by photos we saw on a shoot that were 1960s Sofia Loren, Brigitte Bardot.”
Get the Look:
“We started by prepping the hair with Leanor Greyl Mousse root to end.
Next I blew out her hair with a boar bristle brush and then used Velcro rollers to set the crown section of her hair.
I then prepped her curls by spraying Serge Normant Hairspray all over and brushed it using a Mason Pearson brush.
I used a T3 1 3/4 ” tourmaline curling iron to set vertical 1″ curls, and Rene Furterer Dry Shampoo to give volume at the root.
Next I used KeSari Hair Oilto give shine to the ends and brushed out the curls with my fingers.
Finally, I finished the look by spraying Serge Normant hairspray all over
Lily Collins/Hairstylist Kylee Heath
Beauty Inspiration:
“We wanted Lily’s look to be soft and whimsical to complement her delicate detailed gown, but more importantly we wanted to showcase Lily’s mothers vintage sapphire pin that we chose to clip to the side of the low tousled bun.”
Get the Look:
” Starting with damp hair I applied the Kerastase Volumactive Mousse to the roots.
I applied Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray from mid-shaft of hair and through the ends.
Also to add moisture and shine to the hair, I applied KeSari Oil to her ends.
After combing the product through for even distribution, I blow dried the hair using my fingers.
I wanted to get volume in the hair so I blew it dry in all directions without using a brush.
Once the hair was dry, I sectioned the hair making a part from the top of the left ear and over to the right.
I pulled the bottom section into a ponytail at the occipital bone.
I sprayed Bumble and Bumble Classic Hairspray throughout both sections and went in with and inch wide curling iron.
First I pinned the pieces from the ponytail into a low bun.
I then pinned back the front sections using bobby pins and the Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.”
