Tech @ SXSW: Viddy Partners Up with Facebook Using Viddy App for 15 Sec “Slice of Your Life” Videos!

Do you know what Viddy is? Have you heard of Have you used the Viddy App?

Based in LA-California, Viddy is a social mobile video application with 1MM+ users that enables them to shoot, beautify (edit, add transitions and even background music while still retaining the original file) and share 15-second video clips directly from their mobile devices.

Lucky for us, in light of the announcment yesterday of the Viddy + Facebook collaboration on the Timeline aspect of Facebook, we have CEO and co-founder Brett O’Brien who spared us some time to talk about Viddy: what it does; how it works and a whole lot more information.

Since their soft launch with Facebook Timeline in mid-February, Viddy’s monthly Facebook uniques have jumped from 80,000 to 900,000 Monthly Unique Users within Facebook and Viddy content has generated over 270 million impressions within Facebook. Every key metric of the business has increased substantially.

Viddy has attracted several prominent celebrity users, including Snoop Dog, T-Pain, and Linkin Park, as well as leading brands including Disney.

For SWSX, Viddy is launching a signature SWSX custom branded Production Pack that turns Viddy videos into 15-Second moving postcards from Austin, Texas, complete with country music & rustic art. With the SWSX branded production pack, people can create videos, geo-tag their location and share video clips with their friends.
