No one told me that it would be 10 degrees cooler than 1 mile again by living here. I did know that parking was a factor.. but no one warned me about being the first barrier to storms when they hit. It always sounds like thunder and blows really hard.
yet the blessings of seeing 3 seals so close in the water than when they came up to catch a breath, I could hear them inhale.. was so intoxicating. As was the 75+ pelicans that had been on a feeding frenzy.. and this was the tail end of it all.. Watching these creatues divebomb for food. WOW!!
Living at the Beach: Getting Close to Nature from Stevie Wilson on Vimeo.
While I spend an enormous amount of time in my office, I do see daylight and I see clouds pass by. Right now the clouds are pale pink. However when I shot this video about 2-3 months ago, it started off slowly with a few pelicans feeding along with the gulls. Then suddenly the pelicans swarmed in and it was a display of lightning bolt accuracy of diving for fish and no one going hungry. I suddenly realized I needed to record this.
