The NARS Spring/Summer Collection is smokin! And there are other limited edition collections that are definitely worth checking out. I recently hit Sephora to check out a few things– and one of them was NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. Turns out I am the same color I was over 10 years ago– Santa Fe and I love the texture of this foundation. Perfect for summer, it’s amazing.
Here’s a look at this Summer collection and I will give you names/links to products I think you should try!
NARS Summer 2012
Moscow Pure Matte Lipstick
Calabria Soft Touch Shadow Pencil
Use the lighter hues of the trio as washes across the eyes. Line eyes with Calabria or use in the crease — either way use it lightly and smudge out and then maybe try another layer of color into the lashes.
Use your favorite foundation and dust it with a bit of powder to set. Contour just a touch under cheekbones with Laguna and use the Liberte’ high on cheekbones. You can use Liberte’ as shadow instead of Calabria if you want more peachy tones.
Don’t forget LOTS of mascara.
Nars Orgasm Collection– the look!
I love this look and the eyes are killer. I finally found the 411 on the NARS site about how to achieve it but someone posted the breakdown of the eye look on youtube.com
Apply Orgasm Multiple to the eyelid, blending with finger to a fresh finish.
Apply Fez ( velvet cocoa) to the eyelid.
Add depth to the crease and the lash line with a mixture of the chestnut shade of Surabaya Duo Eyeshadow and Lulu Eyeshadow (bright matte eggplant).
Blend a wash of Night Rider Eyeshadow (shimmered light plum) to the eyelid.
Highlight the brow bone with Albatross Highlighting Blush powder.
Line the eyes with Via Veneto Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner
and finish with two coats of Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara.
The trick is in the blending and making sure you smudge up a bit. The purple hues are at the lash line and blend out to that golden pink champagne color on the lid to the crease.
