Yoplait Wants to Get YOU “Red Carpet Ready!!. Check Out HOW!!

Yoplait Greek 100 has launched a “Red Carpet Ready” sweepstakes to help everyone at home get ready for this season’s most-anticipated red carpet event.

The sweeps, hosted on Facebook here, will award one lucky winner (and up to five guests) a trip to Los Angeles, an Emmy’s viewing party, a VIP makeover (nails, makeup, hair…the works!), $5,000 in spending money and more.

You don’t have to be a celeb to look red carpet ready. If you have been reading this blog at any time since 2005, you will know I have always given you tips called ‘secrets of the red carpet’ — and you can search this blog for those “secrets”. No matter what your red carpet event is: reunion, a wedding, company event, family gathering, your own red carpet viewing party, a night out with the girls or just a strut down the street, Yoplait, Glam.com and I want to help our Yoplait friends look and feel fabulous every day. And since I am all about fashion with an individual spin and style, Yoplait and Glam came to me to offer you this opportunity to share your red carpet tips with others. Below are some of my tips as well as some from Glam editors. If you submit a tip that that Yoplait loves, they would feature you (in headshot form) on Yoplait’s Facebook page (which has more than 1MM “likes”).

Someone needs to win that amazing prize shown above- why shouldn’t it be you?!!

Here are my tips:
1) Make sure you have a manicure a couple of days before your big event. Nothing makes you feel better about yourself than well-groomed hands and fingers. Whether you go neutral in color, clear buffed nails or outrageous in color and design, your hands are something that everyone will notice.

2) Figure out which lipcolor you are wearing before hand and take a smidge of the lipstick in a plastic round container or a lip palette and take it with you along with some clear gloss. Why clear gloss? It can make your lips look fuller, hold brows in place and –when handled carefully– give you highlights on cheekbones after you are already out the door. Your look will always look fresh!

3) If you can afford a blow-out for your hair, do it the day before your event. If you can’t wash your own hair the day or two before and take the time to do it right. Talk to your stylist about the look you want to achieve and buy those products she/he suggest.

4) Pamper your feet! The surest way to blisters and sore feet is to wear new shoes on that special day. Wear them for at least a week before (at minimum 2 days) and don’t forget those padded inserts (available everywhere including drugstores) to keep your feet comfortable and from slipping out of shoes or causing blisters. (Ouch!)

5) After you get dressed or before you walk out that front door, take a moment to check that you have everything you need (jewelry, id, cash, keys) — then stop and close your eyes. Take 3 s l o w deep breaths in and let them slowly out. Tell yourself you are the most beautiful woman in the room and you will knock them dead. Why? Because it’s true!! Confidence is everything and a calm confidence partnered wtih a bright smile will make you look radiant!!

Following are the style tips from the Editors at Glam.com:

· To fuel up for the big day, eat a low-calorie, high-protein yogurt, like Yoplait Greek 100.

· Ensure the attention will be on you when you make your entrance. Emphasize your eyes with a few coats of volumizing mascara, or if you’re brave enough, try on a strip of faux lashes for a lush look.

· Nothing is more entrancing than a plush pout, so use a lip balm with a hint of color to add a bit of flair while you keep your lips kissably soft all evening long.

· A clear topcoat can do more than just maintain your manicure. If you end up with a rip in your pantyhose, a drop or two will be enough to stop the run dead in its tracks.

· Stand firm. Making red carpet rounds should be as effortless as your style—and that starts with what you wear on your feet. Make sure your shoes fit properly, and don’t be afraid of inserts: They can make your stiletto saunter a breeze.

· Invest in some double-sided tape to avoid wardrobe malfunctions. If your dress is cut low here, or has a high slit there, a little extra security can go a long way.

· The red carpet is no place for a huge satchel or top-handle purse. Keep it classy and chic with a statement evening clutch to complement your look.

· When getting red-carpet-ready, don’t forget about the undergarments! Embrace the Spanx, and make sure you have the right underpinnings so they don’t steal the show from your dress.

· If you’re going for bare arms or bare legs, make sure to moisturize. After moisturizing, add a shimmer product down the center of your legs for glam gams.

· Tame flyways with a clear mascara brush, especially if you’re wearing your hair in a ponytail or an updo.

· Drink lots of water to get your skin glowing before your big event!

· Fill in your brows to draw attention to your eyes, and frame your face or tame already-dark brows with a clear brow gel.
