Day 5: 12 Drinks of Christmas: Signature David’s Onyx Moonshine Ginger Float. Perfect for Post Holiday Shopping!
The day after Christmas is fraught with many things: fatigue; too much clean-up; food; not to mention holiday shopping. Leave it to Signature David and Onyx Moonshine to give you a STELLAR cocktail that will make the hassle, fatigue and work disappear in a flash!
Onyx Moonshine Ginger Float
1 1/2 oz Onyx Moonshine-
1 oz Apple Cider
1 oz Fresh Lemon
3/4 oz Gingerbread Simple Syrup*
Ginger Ale
Vanilla ice cream
One large scoop of vanilla ice cream into the bottom of a glass.
Combine all ingredients (except the Ginger Ale) over ice and shake well.
Strain into a tall glass over the ice cream and top with Ginger Ale.
Garnish with a vanilla bean split down the middle.
*To make the Gingerbread Simple Syrup,
combine 1 cup sugar with 1 cup of water and bring to a boil until sugar dissolves.
Add 1/4 cup minced FRESH ginger, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg and 1/4 tsp. clove
and let simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Strain out the ginger and let cool. Refrigerate.
