Red Carpet Style-Spotting: Oscar Glows with Celebs in Fab Fashion! #1

The end of the awards season (and not a moment too soon) and we get the best for last. There weren’t so many bad ones this year. More of the “eh” variety!

Thanks to Karen Starr Delloiacono for her assist in this!

Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Couture, Roger Vivier shoes and Harry Winston jewelry.

Chalize is my number one pick for perfection on the red carpet for this season. She and Dior really do go hand in hand. Now, I’m not a fan of any kind of pixie haircut but I do have to say it looks good on her. Probably because of the symmetry between her cheek bones and the shape of her face. Makeup is perfection and she always knows how to pose which is always a big plus. One word, j’adore!

I thought Charlize was pretty, but not my favorite. I like the dress, but on her pale skin, pale blue eyes and pale blonde hair, how about not going white and trying a color– even a bronze or golden hue would have added more color to her face. She’s got great fashion sense. The pixie cut– not my favorite style on her. It’s really pretty severe and the grow-out stages will be a pain. (Extensions will not make it any easier!)

Naomi Watts in Armani Privé.

I love when actresses take chances and rock the carpet. This look gives a wonderful modern feel to the awards this year. I especially like color. Just think of the hours it took to bead that dress by hand! Her makeup is very natural with just a touch of color. Smart to bring hair off the face as it doesn’t compete with the dress. Fits her perfectly.

I had to look twice at this photo to see if this really WAS Naomi Watts. She’s not typically found in such edgy gowns, opting for the more soft feminine look. She seems to have tweaked a look that Nicole Kidman did at one point when married to Tom Cruise and making a serious fashion statement that she can be a fashion icon.
Great hair, makeup and a dress is great. Just wish it were in a slightly different color.

Jessica Chastain in Armani Privé.

I think she heard Stevie and I were not too pleased with her Golden Globes look and paid attention. She looks awesome and made me proud! Love everything, hair, makeup, jewelry and especially the fit and color of the dress.

I agree with Karen. It’s like she had actually heard our comments or enough echoes of similar comments. The fit is perfect HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR right from the hair style to form-fitting dress that flatters her skin tone perfectly. (More jewelry would have helped a bit). Her makeup sealed the deal. Who wouldn’t want to look like Chastain?

Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior Couture.

Very pretty and ladylike. Everything about this look is elegant. Soft color, carefree hair, natural looking makeup. Perfect for her age and not overpowering even with the train. She is wearing the dress and it’s not wearing her.

Jennifer Lawrence wore the perfect Cinderella gown for walking away the young princess at this ball. Her hair is perfect; ditto the makeup though I would have liked a bit more color on the lips. Her confection of a dress is lovely, not exactly the best color for her or design but she still looks amazing. The length of diamond necklace down her back was a stunning choice. She shows that she can pull off not only an Oscar but a serious amount of respect on the red carpet!
