Whether a Parent or Not, Get Your Schedule Managed with Kuyam App.

While the pitch to me was for moms and getting the kids back to school, I immediately saw that this app was PERFECT for everyone- whether a parent or not, working or not, and young or mature adult. Everyone has a slate of activties, appointments, work to do (from housework to homework to work at home) and they need to keep track of it. Calendars don’t really cut it (and that’s what I am using these days after having an iPhone devour my calendar for almost 6 months straight!) yet when someone like me who is juggling home, work at home, client appointments, personal appointments- well writing it all down doesn’t always happen . I can’t tell you how many phone appointments or events I have missed because I was so busy that I hadn’t picked up my luxe and pricey datebook. Along comes Kuyam app for the cell phone that can help you set a lot of personal appointments as well as those for kids.

Here’s the officialese on this app:

with kuyam, you can easily schedule appointments with your favorite lifestyle (cosmetic, fitness, and family-related) businesses in your neighborhood. you can create, share and connect calendars with your friends or even manage your family schedule. kuyam is also a hub to discover local non-profit and for-profit companies.

our office is in los angeles where we’re building the first kuyam community. the team believes in an organic, friendly and collaberative company environment which celebrates the core idea of kuyam, which in chumash means, “a meeting place where we can come together.”

Just in time for back-to-school, there is a slew of updates and new screens to help you manage getting kids to classes, school, medical and dental appointments and the myriad of things that are in a child’s life — and don’t forget yours. This app will help you see the global calendar that you have so that you don’t overlap appointments or at least can rectify that situation. *Sweet* is the word I think of when I look at this. Now if we could just work it to handle the ” I need 3 clones” life I lead and then I would be thrilled!!

Hand this app over to your significant other (and your boss too) so that they can manage their lives effectively and understand when you are out and about or someone has an emergency and the slack needs to be picked up.

Also for businesses that want to grow and thrive, there’s a way you can participate too. For users/clients, it’s free for this app. For businesses to be listed, there is a fee but it’s pretty affordable. Think of it being your own personally curated Yelp-like place for the places you go surrounding you. Currently now it’s partly San Fernando Valley and also Westside to West Hollywood. This app once you figure out what parts of it you will use and also ask for more things that you want added (take out food places, plumbers, cleaners and mechanics anyone?)
will make this app become central to your life because you will it’s like that list of your favorite places and people that you rely on.

  1. What a great idea! I’m old school and still use a paper daytimer (don’t laugh) but need to upgrade to digital to keep pace with the rest of my life. Will check this out for sure!

  2. I am not laughing. When my iPhone went wonky and for several months randomly, collectively or selectively erased my appointments I switched phones (Apple left me twisting in the wind).. and bought a datebook.. which despite my Samsung Galaxy phone.. I still use. THIS app might get me back to using my cell phone.. which would be amazingly helpful (except I would lose my gorgeous datebook)

go for it.. you won’t be sorry!

  3. I have my icalendars shut down because they annoy me. This could work..and I see the point in sharing them too.
