Atelier Cologne’s Christophe Cervacel Talks about the Brand’s Development and Direction. Part 2 of 2!

This is the second of the two interviews with Christophe Cervacel at Neiman Marcus Fashion Island. It was great to see Christophe again. One of the most interesting things is to watch a brand launch, find it’s footing/balance and become successful and popular with its’ target audience.

Figuring out which scents are turning out to be the more popular ones while continuing to nurture the entire line as well as create new fragrances– that’s a bit of a trick that Sylvie Ganter and Christophe have managed to pull off- and do it well. That they make it look so easy from the outside, is a testament to their love of what they do.

Christophe Cervacel,

Christophe was on a junket of personal appearances for Neiman Marcus across the US and when I got an opportunity to talk to him again (*having done 13 videos of him and the fragrances with partner, Sylvie Ganter in many of them), it was like connecting with someone that knew that I understood what the brand, the fragrances were all about and I also was able to dig a little deeper into the development of the fragrances and packaging. Plus we were able to get serious about the popularity of fragrances and the trends of who likes what best in the male versus female consumers along with which parts of the country and world have found certain scents more in alignment with regional tastes.

We also talked about the stories behind each fragrance– the literal stories that frame up what the concept was for that to that scent. Plus there is a discussion specific to the new fragrances- on topics not covered in the video #1 of this series. It’s all in this longer video.

Talking to Christophe Cervasel is never boring. It’s even more fun when partner Sylvie Ganter is there too but she was back in Paris during this visit.
