Guest blogger Wonderfully Weird (Kanarian Kindred) dives into the world of fashion in clothing, accessories and more !!! These styles are what you might find that best reflect your personal fashion aesthete! What’s not to love ??!!
In today’s society it seems everyone is chasing the next big thing, especially in fashion. Whether it’s the new Jordan’s, Prada slippers, or Louboutin’s, everyone wants a piece of top products. This is fine but what about those with a weird sense of style? The person that marches to the beat of their own drum, while straying from the normal fashion market.
Have no fear because Wonderfully Weird has arrived. The weekly blog posting various fashion items including: clothing, jewelry, shoes, and styling tips considered odd by others. My style is different from most because it focuses on funky, different, and classy pieces others tend to shy away from.
This week focuses on the dynamic stylings of Brazilian born artist Atelier Gustavolins. According to his official website, Gustavo Lins studied to be an architect in his native Brazil. He started his career as a freelance pattern-maker and worked for several Paris-based fashion Houses including Jean Paul Gaultier, Kenzo, Louis Vuitton. He founded his own ready-to-wear brand GUSTAVOLINS in 2003. Since 2011, he has been a permanent member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture under the name ATELIER GUSTAVOLINS.
Over the seasons, Gustavo Lins shapes his philosophy through many codes: the kimonos and draped garments, the jackets sleeves have sabre seams, torsions and spirals are inspired by the musculature of the human body. The generous volumes of all these garments were conceived keeping in mind comfort.
Gustavo Lins carefully selects the fabrics from traditional Houses in France and Italy to create this smooth and sensual universe: cashmeres, wools, cotton and silk canvas. The Gustavolins vestiaire is addressed to a modern and urban public. Within a same collection, he can switch from highly architectural to extremely fluid models. Source: Gustavolins
