Giving a gift doesn’t have to cost you a lot- except perhaps some time thinking about the type of gift to give to someone. In case you haven’t seen how creative someone can be- or think outside that gift-giving box- watch this commercial!
Yes it’s from the state of California! I get that but what they are showing is a person without a lot of personal connections who helps a lot of people at his job. However no one recognizes him as a person with feelings– at least that’s how he appears. What’s really well done is how the commercial and the state have tapped into that ‘ giving back’ theme without going overboard with a ton of gifts. It’s small, simple and from a neighbor who wants no recognition.
I loved it. Ok so call me a sappy person. This bit seemed to reach out to me in a way that showed it doesn’t have to cost a lot of money or be a big deal to brighten someone’s day. It’s almost a ‘pay it forward’ thing!
I remember doing that with someone who did that for me.
Why the heck not? Why not invest a couple of bucks and give it to someone who wouldn’t invest in it and doesn’t have a lot of friends or visitors? It doesn’t have to be lottery tickets. It could be a cup of coffee from a coffee house, a pastry or even a burger at your local burger joint.
Just a thought people. There’s a reason for the season!

It is both a reminder of the compassion needed to truly give, and a fabulous ad for the lottery..because the end should be that the ticket is a big winner..
