Now that SAG Awards are over, half of the film community is in Sundance attending the Film Festival. Lots of networking and schmoozing going on in Sundance. Tons of celebs have ducked in for some “snow” time and they have that for sure.
The Laggies Premiere:
Keira Knightely
Celebrity hairstylist Kerrie Urban created Keira Knightley’s look for the premiere of her film ‘Laggies’ at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.
For Kiera’s look, Urban and Knightley decided to go for a “Sundance casual” look, slightly undone and messy but still soft and polished.
Kerrie began by applying Leonor Greyl’s Condition Naturelle mostly to the roots and then slightly misting it on the ends.
“Most of the hold I wanted was at the root, so the ends just needed a touch to add some hold. This look was more beachy, so we wanted to give the roots more body and by lightly spraying the ends, the product protects the hair from the heat and gives a light hold for the iron.”
Kerrie then roughly blow-dried her hair using her hands to encourage natural wave. In two-inch sections, Urban curler Kiera’s hair with a 1-inch curling iron by wrapping the hair around the outside of the barrel in alternating directions.
Once the curls were finished, Kerrie broke them apart with her hands and shook them out. To combat frizz and static, she put a couple drops of Leonor Greyl’s Serum de Soie Sublimateur in her palms, rubbed them together, and applied to the hair from the ends to mid shaft. “This product also gave Kiera’s hair incredible shine.”
To set the look and keep her glam all night, Urban finished off with the Leonor Greyl Lacque Souple hairspray.
“I loved the light hold of this hairspray. We didn’t want anything too stiff or crunchy, and the Lacque Souple gave just the right amount of hold.”
Kiera loved how her hair felt and it had great hold but was still soft and natural!
Chloe Grace Moretz
Celebrity hairstylist Kerrie Urban created the look for Chloe Grace Moretz for the premiere of her film ‘Laggies’
“For Chloe’s look for the premiere, we wanted to do a textured, fashion inspired top knot. I began by spraying her damp hair section by section with Leonor Greyl’s Voluforme for volume and lift and then blow dried with a large round brush.
In one-inch sections, I back combed all of her hair loosely and then gathered it into a high pony tail with my hands and secured with an elastic. I didn’t want to brush the pony tail into place because then I would lose the texture from the back combing. I teased the pony, wrapped it into a bun and secured with bobby pins and hair pins.
I pulled the bun apart slightly to give it that extra textured feel and pulled out some wispy pieces around the hairline to give it a really loose, textured feel. To finish and set the look, I sprayed Chloe’s hair with Leonor Greyl Spray Structure Naturelle for all night hold.
The look was young and fun, just like Chloe!”
