Isse Long Beach is the first professional beauty show of the year for PBA. It’s like New Year’s Eve all over again with the launch of new products and brands, seminars, competitions and lots more going on at the super-cool event that is located in the heart of downtown Long Beach near water, Queen Mary, aquarium, restaurants, hotels and lots more. Join colleagues and other beauty pros from around the world to learn about new trends, products and brands! It’s a “must-do” for any PBA (Professional Beauty Association) member or aspiring member to see the classes, the competitions and walk the incredible show floor! There is so much to see and do and you have 2.5 days to do it all!
I love attending the ISSE because products used by pros are the key to any great beauty look from hair, skincare, nails, body and tools. It’s important to stay on top of new products and new advancements and trends in products and tools. It’s like a huge party because there is a lot of people and music along with a ton of amazing products to see!
ISSE Long Beach features three main stages, including Center Stage and the NAHA Stage and the new Cut, Color & Style Stage – showcasing the latest techniques and creating the most sought after styles at any skill level.

Celebrity Stylist and TV Personality Ted Gibson:
Ted Gibson is one of the most sought-after editorial, runway and celebrity hair stylists in the business. He was also the resident hair guru on TLC’s “What Not to Wear”. His work has appeared in tons of print magazines and backstage at runway shows such as Chanel, Prada and Dolce & Gabbana. Ted is perhaps most known for toiling over the tresses of top celebrities including Lupitaa Nyongo, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Debra Messing, Angelina Jolie, Ashley Greene, Zoe Saldana, Gabrielle Union and many more. With salons in New York City and Ft. Lauderdale, education is most important for the brand and Ted Gibson. You don’t want to miss what Ted and his artistic team have in store.

See NAHA Master, 23-time nominee and two-time NAHA Hairstylist of the Year winner Charlie Price as he navigates “The NAHA Experience.” Learn how to construct an entry, the importance of story-boarding, how to generate themes, select models, and assemble the perfect support team. Plus, watch as Charlie recreates some of his greatest hits on live models and hear how some of his most memorable collections were brought to life. Charlie will also be joined by NAHA Judge and Committee member Mia Liguori McHugh of Scruples Haircare for a comprehensive

ORLY GEL FX Instant Artist Certification: A Hands-on Workshop by Sam Biddle:
Join in the first hands-on workshop and leave as a Certified ORLY GEL FX Instant Artist. Night Out Party:
This event is exclusively for ISSE Long Beach attendees and exhibitors. After two days of walking the sold-out expo floor, attendees are invited to a private party at Sevilla Nightclub on Sunday, January 25 from 8:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Grab a bite to eat at the Sevilla Restaurant Tapas Bar and then head upstairs for the private nightclub party, featuring signature cocktails and a dance floor.
Job Fair:
PBA is proud to host the first annual Southern California Beauty Career Fair at ISSE Long Beach 2015. Show attendees and beauty professionals can speak one-on-one with representatives from beauty companies and salons/spas about available job opportunities on Monday, January 26, from 1:00p.m. – 3:00p.m. in the Long Beach Convention Center. The career fair is open to the public but qualified attendees must purchase a ticket to access the show floor.
OMC Tryouts:
New this year, competitors can also enter for a chance to be on Team USA at OMC Hairworld 2016 in Seoul, Korea. OMC Hairworld is a bi-annual global competition inviting the world’s most talented hairstylists to compete on creativity, skill and the ability perform under pressure. The U.S. will be represented by four teams in 2016: Senior Ladies’ Technical, Senior Ladies’ Fashion, Junior Ladies’ Technical and Junior Ladies’ Fashion. Tryouts will be held on Monday, January 26, in conjunction with the ISSE hairstyling competitions. Only one spot is available on the Senior Ladies’ Technical Team. All four spots are available on both Junior Ladies’ Teams. OMC categories are open to all contestants. Competitors must compete in both technical categories or both fashion categories to be eligible for the Team USA try-out.
The Nail Spot/Cut, Color & Style Stage:
The Nail Spot and the Cut, Color & Style Stage are the newest additions to ISSE Long Beach. Dedicated to nail professionals, The Nail Spot is an area featuring creative and technical education, nail competitions and more. Nail professionals looking to enhance their knowledge, creativity and skills, will find it at The Nail Spot. All ISSE nail events including education, creative demonstrations and NailPro competitions will be held in this one, convenient place. The new Cut, Color & Style stage will showcase stylists educating attendees on the latest techniques and creating the most sought after styles at any skill level.
Blogger Café:
For the first time at ISSE Long Beach 2015, the show floor will feature a one-on-one Blogger Cafe giving top beauty influencers from across the U.S. the opportunity to meet with show exhibitors. ISSE Long Beach attendees will also have the chance to meet with these beauty influencers throughout the show and can win a VIP gift bag! Each beauty influencers will nominate the best new product, best established product, and best of show in hair, nail and skin from exhibitors across the show floor. Each exhibiting company has 7 chances to win! The “Best of Show” will be announced by celebrity hairstylist, Ted Gibson, at the ISSE Long Beach Night Out Party! Sunday, January 25 at Sevilla Nightclub.
