It’s Jan. 2015: I Am Dying for a Great Massage But Where to GO? HOME.. with SOOTHE!

I have been — of late- incredibly busy. With the construction on the new house still going on (so much for Thanksgiving deadlines!) What I notice most is that the last quarter of the year took a lot of effort. I realize I missed some things and I wish I had spent a little more time taking care of me rather than the stuff going on around me. I don’t like feeling lost in a maelstrom of activity and that’s why I go outward to quell the wild activity.

That said, I just don’t have the time right at this moment to head to LA, Santa Monica, the OC for a massage or a facial. I will soon enough but the number of balls in the air is taking time and attention. I just haven’t found a great place locally to have a massage!

Wait… a friendly PR person sent me this blast for a massage on call service. They will meet me at home, at a hotel if I am traveling and I can choose who I want! Here’s some scoop on this cool service called so aptly SOOTHE! It’s based on an app that allows you to book a massage for 60 minutes from now or to get more specific and nail down a time and location in advance with you selecting the type of massage you want in advance with the fee schedule already set based on time! Oh yeah– gratuity is built into the fee already!! So fabulously amazing!!

“We’ve made it super convenient for a person to book a spa-quality massage via their mobile phone or computer with as little as 60 minutes advance notice,” says Merlin Kauffman, tech entrepreneur and founder of Soothe, who became disenchanted with limited operating hours of traditional day spas and advance-notice booking requirements. “Soothe’s uniqueness lies in its ability to connect the client to an available therapist who can quickly come to the client’s location and deliver a 5-star service at an affordable price-we have removed all the hassle for the customer, including the issue of paying the gratuity and taxes which are included. Even guests at hotels can use this service.”

Soothe’s easy-to-use online service and mobile app connects customers to a network of over 650 highly-skilled, licensed and insured Soothe massage therapists available to travel immediately to a destination, and deliver much-needed relief to tired, sore aching muscles and joints. The on-demand service offers a choice of Swedish, deep tissue, sports or couples massages with brief descriptions in 60-, 90- and 120-minute sessions, where appointments are offered between the hours of 10 am until 10 pm every day of the week, with fixed prices of
$99 (60 minute),
$139 (90 minute), and
$169 (120 minute) per person… regardless of the type of massage selected.

“People love the simplicity of the booking system that offers same-day appointments or beyond with extended operating hours-that’s why our customer reviews and ratings are off the charts,” he explains. “The ease of experiencing this new affordable luxury leaves our clients feeling very soothed and satisfied.”

This great service is available within specific service areas:
Great Los Angeles
Orange County,
Austin,
San Diego,
Phoenix/Scottsdale
and Miami/Dade

First, the client downloads the iOS app (soothe.com/app) and selects what type of massage is desired and the treatment length, selects the gender of the massage therapist, then enters the address of service and any notes about parking issues to facilitate the therapist’s ability to access the destination.

Last, the client enters his credit card for billing. Soothe then sends a confirmation to the customer’s email.” For clients who cannot download the app, they can book via soothe.com which is available 24-7, or call a toll-free number (800.960.7668) during business hours.

In addition to offering massage for individuals and couples, Soothe offers chair massage services for corporate and special events, where a team of therapists can be present on site for a specific number of hours to service a group of individuals.

Important information:
How does Soothe find the most qualified therapists? How do you vet them?

We’re very careful about the massage therapists we select to join the Soothe network. We interview all of our therapists in person and make sure they are fully licensed and insured in their state of practice. We accept only the highest quality therapists with a history of excellence in customer satisfaction.

In most states, including California, the process to become a certified massage therapist (CMT) requires applicants to successfully pass background checks conducted by a state investigator, before being deemed able to safely work with the public. All Soothe massage therapists have passed these government sponsored certification measures.

All Soothe massage therapists have the highest level of integrity and professionalism. In return, we expect all clients to reciprocate the same level of respect and conduct.
