Sunblock is a necessity in anyone’s routine. It doesn’t matter if you are a teen or an adult. It doesn’t matter what skin-tone you are — you need sunblock. (This was part of the sunblock conversation I had at the KO’AN Center with Zaria and the other aestheticians and nurse practitioners.) Most important, unless you are inside, it doesn’t matter what time of day (or night) it is, you need to be wearing sunblock. Yes. You read that right! UVA/UVB rays don’t shut off after the sun goes down. Like when it’s overcast, UVA/B rays can hit you at night too so you definitely need to have some sunblock on board.
The big issue here isn’t that you need it, but the operative phrase is what kind of product can you use that is easy, fast and invisible. Powder. Mineral powder. Invisible or sheer mineral powder sunblock… like Colorescience Loose Mineral SPF 50 Sunforgettable and Colorescience Loose Mineral Sunforgettable in SPF 30. You have your choice of SPF factors.
I have been writing about Colorescience since the brand launched on the market. Created by well-known beauty and skincare chemist, Diane Ranger is an expert in creating new products. Sun protection is a key element in skincare products and Ranger set to create a sunblock that was natural, longer-lasting than most, water-resistant and easy to apply. Add into this product mix a requirement to make it easy to apply for men as well as kids and that’s quite a laundry-list of requirements. Yet Ranger was successful in creating a mineral powder sunblock that is water resistant, easy to apply with the handy brush applicator and it lasts a long time. It’s great for a variety of skin conditions like rosacea, acne and melasma. It’s easy to reapply on the run or leave it in the car, desk or handbag. If someone has oily skin and needs a nice blotting powder, this powder sunblock is great at double-duty. Call me a sunblock junkie but I know great sunblocks when I see (and try ) them. This is one of the best because it’s exceptionally user-friendly. It provides a light sheer cover that is truly fantastic and protects the skin from sun exposure. When used with the Colorescience Setting Mist, it creates a layer of coverage that will give you a polished look.
What Sunforgettable does is give you the freedom to have the active life you desire without worrying about applying goopy sun protection cream products. Creams are messy in the process of using them. If not applied properly, the skin isn’t truly protected. Creams have a potential to cause eye irritation and some might not be safe to use on young children. These are usually not issues when applying Sunforgettable powder sunblock. Expose the brush, start brushing carefully on your skin in a circular motion then cover the brush with the wind-up sleeve. It’s super easy. Just be careful to not get this in your eyes since it’s a powder.
I guess you can see I am a huge fan of this product. I have been obsessed with Colorescience line since the product line came out. I still buy it; I still wear it. Colorscience products
Colorescience Primer with SPF 20 or SPF 30. This product comes in a range of primers including bronzing, brightening, balancing, calming and mattifying. There is one primer just for your skin type. The SPF 30 Primer is available in just one formulation.
Colorescience Foundation is of course the foundation of choice, it’s available in different presentations. You can get a great powder foundation that hides imperfections, marks, redness and more. It’s available in full coverage powder or a sheer powder. There is also a cream version of this foundation too. It is recommended that you use a kabuki brush for applying the powder foundations. The color range is great and that there are options for you make it a real winner. If you want shimmer , you got it. If you want matte you can have that. If you need more coverage- that’s available. For the longest time, I was in love with the cream foundation. It’s easy when you have options.
Colorescience Setting Mist is a crucial step if only to hydrate the skin and it helps create a breathable protective film that will protect your skin during the day. There are setting mists, hydrating mists and clarifying mists. They all help set makeup. If you want more hydration or clarifying, you have the option to get one that’s specific to your skin’s requirements.

Sunforgettable SPF 30 or SPF 50 is the final step with a great longer-lasting powder sunblock.

Each color can be used separately or blended together to camouflage everyday skin concerns, such as blemishes, dark circles and redness, as well as post-procedure discolorations.

I have had a great month playing with these products. I use the Sunforgettable SPF 50 every day…….early morning when I take my dog out for a walk while it’s dark and after I get my makeup finished, I dust it on my face to finish my look. I love it. I love all my Colorescience products because I know the products are serious skincare while they provide sun protection and allow you to hide skin imperfections. For many times in my life when my rosacea was going crazy, this was the only brand that understood the tempermental, fickle and angry nature of my skin and gave me the products that helped me deal with it on a daily basis.

I like the high quality as well as the powder application. I had another brand from my dermatologist that was so easy to use. This reminds me how great that delivery system is because reapplication is more likely. I will check out his brand because it offers more selection than my dermatologist.
It’s an amazing line Pam. I have used it for a long time.. and even if you are indoors and don’t need to use it because it’s too hot to be outside, it’s so fast & easy to apply that it makes sunblock a regular routine. I do it every morning about 5:30 when I take my dog for a walk
