“China: Through the Looking Glass” – Costume Institute Benefit Gala: 30 Guests/30 Outfits!

The Met Gala is a dress-up ball with a theme. Anna Wintour is its’ hostess and she really does want people to dress in context to the them. That said, there are bound to be mistakes and faux pas made in this year’s themes. Some were whimsical; others took it half-heartedly to barely dress the part (that could be the missing the point or missing the majority of clothing- take your pick). This is not all of the best dressed people. I missed Chrissy Teigen and John Legend entirely. I also missed KK and most of her fam too.

I was hunting for good photos but flat ran out of time. Some of the outfits were pretty awful — as in what were they thinking?

Here’s the deck, tell me what you think on the blog comments below or share it on twitter.com/lastory or hit me up on Instagram.com to share your thoughts or your favorites.

  1. I saw some of this, but enjoy seeing more. This is like fantasy fashion..good/bad/and as you said, what were they thinking? It is a bit of fun.
