Give Thanks for a New Way to Celebrate Thanksgiving: Shade Hotel Has a Unique Menu + Fab Ambiance!
Check out the great location of the Shade Hotel and see the fabulous ambiance of this hotel that makes it the perfect location for a great Thanksgiving dinner that leaves you with zero cooking or dirty dishes. Sublime is what I would call it!
While the warmth of a traditional family gathering and “got to have it” smells of an indulgent holiday feast will be ever-present, Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach is set to host a non-traditional meal this Thanksgiving. The beach city’s only luxury boutique hotel will welcome guests on Thursday, November 26 with a unique holiday spread created by the hotel’s Executive Chef Chris Garasic.
“Thanksgiving is a special family time and it should not be spent in the kitchen slaving over a meal or dishes,” said Shaunna McKelvey, General Manager at Shade Hotel. “This year we want to welcome our guests and neighbors to a table at zinc@shade for a stress-free family celebration over a unique meal. Let our chefs do the cooking!”
This year, Thanksgiving guests will enjoy a prix fixe four-course menu including
–Potato Leek Soup,
–Roasted Butternut Squash Salad;
–Holiday Turkey Meatloaf with Apple Sage Stuffing,
–Creamed Black Kale
–Orange Cranberry Chutney
–a Pear Cranberry Tart with Vanilla Ice Cream and Spiced Chantilly Cream or
—Maple Pumpkin Cheesecake with Candied Pecans, Bacon Ice Cream and Kahlua Crème Anglaise.
Great, super-tasty food with someone else doing the heavy lifting of the cooking and the clean-up makes having family in town or driving long distances a great idea. It frees the hosting person up from a lot of mess and gives everyone the opportunity for a relaxing meal.
Adults are $60 and children 12 and under are $25.

If I weren’t going elsewhere for Thanksgiving, I would definitely look at this spot. It’s close to the beach and pier and with the weather being so downright sunnny, it makes for great holiday photos too.
Thanks to SHADE Hotel for the photos and the scoop!
