This is day 5 of the 12 Drinks of Christmas series. While we have focused on cocktails, it’s time to turn our eyes (and taste buds) to wine. Sant’ Arturo Wines have a broad catalog of wines from which to choose!
There’s no time like the holidays! Celebrate the holiday season with white wines, sweet pink and hearty red wines from Sant’ Arturo Wines. For hostess gifts, get-togethers, holiday celebrations, gifts or for pairing with monumental meals, Sant’ Arturo Wines has you covered with their delicious wines. Here are some standout wines to toast to the holidays and they also make fabulously tasty gifts!
Sant’ Arturo Amarone della Valpolicella Wine
The Amarone della Valpolicella Wine is an intensely flavored dry red wine made from dried (passito) grapes. It is a ripe dark fruit, with a hint of nutmeg and is bold in taste. It is made in the Veneto region of north-eastern Italy, and is arguably the region’s most prestigious red wine. ( SW: I like this varietal a lot if I am eating meats or pasta)
Sant’ Arturo Brunello di Montalcino Wine,
The Sant’ Arturo Brunello di Montalcino Wine is arguably the most prestigious of all Italian wines. It certainly holds the top rung in Tuscany, despite its relatively short history. It is made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes grown in Montalcino – a classic Tuscan hilltop village 20 miles south of Siena. These grapes are in large-berried form of Sangiovese which grows around Montalcino. It is a brilliant wine with a bright garnet color and has scents of berries, aromatic berries, and light vanilla.
Sant’ Arturo Chianti Riserva Wine
Sant’ Arturo Chianti Riserva Wine is from a small producer located in Tuscany and they always use the best grapes. It has a deep ruby red color and has a fruity aroma. It is packed full of cherry and blueberry flavors. Well structured and full-bodied, the tannins are well-integrated giving a smooth taste. (This is my favorite varietal if I am going out to just have a nicely balanced even fruitier wine)
Sant’ Arturo Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Wine
Sant’ Arturo Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Wine covers the entire eastern half of the Abruzzo region, stretching 75 miles down the central east coast of Italy. The western half of Abruzzo is too mountainous for effective viticulture, so Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wines come mostly from the low hills, plains and coast between the Colline Teramane hills in the north near the Marche border and the Rio Sangro in the south at the Molise border. It is a soft, fruity, delicious wine with bright notes of cherries and cranberries.
Sant’ Arturo Moscato d’Asti Wine
Sant’ Arturo Moscato d’Asti Wine is located in the south-eastern part of Italy’s north-western Piedmont region. In the 16th century the recipe for Moscato d’Asti was created by a renowned Milanese jeweler, Giovan Battista Croce, who had made jewelry for the Royal Family. He changed careers, purchasing a vineyard and perfecting the creation of the wine. It is a semi-sweet with fruit flavors including peach, tropical fruits and lychee. Very gently sparkling that is soft and luscious. (SW: If I want to have something light with dessert, this is the wine I choose)
Sant’ Arturo Pinot Grigio Wine
Sant’ Arturo Pinot Grigio Wine is light, crisp and refreshing in taste. This stylishly named Italian grape variety has effortlessly found its way on to every Italian restaurant wine list and most others too. It is a highly refined wine with notes of tart green apples, white peach undertones, floral blossoms and citrus. (SW: This is one of my favorite white wine varietals and I will drink this by choice first if this is available!)
Sant’ Arturo Sangiovese Toscana Wine
Sant’ Arturo Sangiovese Toscana Wine has notes of ripe fruits of red cherry, raspberry with a hint of caramel and cocoa and is spicy. It is produced in Tuscany, Italy. It is a bright, lush, appealing wine with full body and pairs well with meat and chicken dishes.
Sant’ Arturo Rose Wine
Sant’ Arturo Rose Wine is a crisp, refreshing wine with aromas of sweet raspberries and strawberries with delicate floral notes. It pairs well alongside salads, meat and vegetarian dishes. (SW: A great all-purpose wine if you want to drink light by adding sparkling soda water for a fizzy effect)

I like Chianti, but am a super fan of amarone. Everyone likes a gift of good wine..it makes any visit to somebody’s house a little more personal when you bring a gift bottle. Cheers!
