It was a “golden” evening at the Golden Globes last night. It was rife with women in all sorts of finery and gorgeous gems. While we all like to look at the fashion (and beauty) of the red carpet events, often as not, it’s about style and details. When it comes to hair, it’s no different. In fact having a bad hair day on the red carpet can haunt a celebrity for years to come. Of course if you have a great hair stylist like Dennis Stokely on board, that is a ‘non-issue’. He always nails the look like this fabulous style on Brooke Anderson!

Here are my “Top 5 hairstyles from the red-carpet”
1)AMBER HEARD
OMG! This is flawless! Amber’s soft waves pinned under to create the look of a bob is executed to perfection. From head to toe, her look is modern, romantic and expensive.
2) LADY GAGA
She does it again! Fresh off the red-carpet from the Emmy’s where she was my favorite look, Lady Gaga nails it. Her yellow hair against her skin might seem a little off on camera, but the vibe is vintage Jayne Mansfield.
3)JENNIFER LOPEZ
J-Lo’s long bob, styled with soft waves and a deep side part is very reminiscent of Veronica Lake(another Hollywood hair icon). I love this hairstyle paired with her mustard-colored Giambattista gown.
4) JANE FONDA
The best updo of the night. Her flawless looking french twist with the perfect amount of height in the crown and soft bangs is the gold-standard of how a leading lady and Hollywood legend should wear her hair.
5- It’s a TIE!
ALICIA VIKANDER and HELEN MIRREN
ALICIA:
Her ultra-sleek texture, clean part and very tight chignon is one of the hardest hairstyles to pull off. It takes a drop-dead gorgeous girl with great confidence and a fabulous smile to rock the look. Alicia is that girl!
HELEN:
The glamour surprise of the night. Her exquisitely and precisely cut bob is beyond beautiful. Helen is a fantastic example of how a lady can grow lder and still look sexy and fun. Her natural hair-color is the silver hair that colorists all over the world try to duplicate. Helen is a glam-gal for the ages, so great!

Well, I agree with some of these decisions..Helen for sure. I am not that crazy for JoLo’s entire package, but the hair does look pretty. Lady Gaga does not look right to me…too normal, or too something.
