Secrets of the Red Carpet: Chanel’s Celebrity Makeup Artist Mai Quynh Breaks Down Saorise Ronan’s Makeup !
Saorise Ronan showed off her fresh and sexy side walking down the Oscar red carpet with this gorgeous dress. The emerald green sequined plunging gown by Calvin Klein Collection was chosen specifically to honor Ronan’s Irish heritage.
The dress, it’s color, the amazing style that reflects her sexy womanliness, along with the mismatched Chopard earrings (mismatched earrings are on trend in case you didn’t know!) along with the slightly bed-head look hair… it shows us just who she is. Chanel provided her beauty breakdown and we definitely want to share it with you so you can replicate the cosmetic portion of her look.
Makeup by Celebrity Makeup Artist Mai Quynh
For the makeup look tonight, I was inspired by Saoirse’s sparkly, emerald-green dress. I wanted the eyes to be the focus: I kept the skin neutral and fresh, while the eyes were smoky and sensual.
For the complexion, I applied CHANEL Perfection Lumière Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in 22 Beige Rosé using a damp Beautyblender sponge. I then layered CHANEL Perles et Fantaisies Highlighter and CHANEL Powder Blush in Fandango onto the apples of the cheeks.
I started the eye look by applying CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Mysterio, from lashline to crease.
Then, I layered with CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Tissé Smoky. I applied the palette’s grey shadow all over the lower lid, and added the black shade along the lashline and into the crease. I smudged grey shadow along the lower lashline and rimmed the eyes with CHANEL Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Feuilles. I finished with two coats of CHANEL Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir.
To complete the look, I applied CHANEL Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour in Adrienne straight from the tube.

Thanks to Chanel Beaute’ and Celebrity Makeup Artist Mai Quynh for the image and the details on the beauty breakdown! I love the look that was done on Saorise Ronan for the Oscars. While I would have loved to see deeper colors on her, the makeup was definitely so flattering and natural for Saorise!
