Ryan Shupe was a rising star in country music, hitting Billboard’s album and singles charts when he was on Capitol’s Nashville label. His album Dream Big (2005) and the title track did exceptionally well on Billboard.
Now transitioning to a new musical genre, Shupe recently released his new album, We Rode Onlast month. This is his 8th studio album, which marks his transition from straight country/bluegrass to more country/rock/pop/contemporary sound that fits perfectly with his musical performances. The album focuses on rock-solid themes: family, love, and maturity. The epic title track, “We Rode On” triumphantly belts out the phrase “singing songs at the top of our lungs” while the anthemic “Sun Will Shine Again” is a mantra to Shupe’s children. The catchy, rocking “If I Stay” and “Just Say Yes” deal with love interest dilemmas.
