If you are a car fanatic, you should read (and watch) this entire post. If you are a Super Bowl fan, you will see this video/commercial on TV and you will recognize the iconic music as the commercial opens up. This is all about great cars, great films and the music that captures all three!
In honor of Mercedes-Benz’s return to Super Bowl advertising and to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Mercedes-AMG, the brand has integrated a classic American film, Easy Rider, into its Super Bowl LI advertisement – “Easy Driver”.
Riding on the open road with Steppenwolf’s “Born to be Wild” playing in your head. How do you make this experience any better? Hint: The legendary Peter Fonda might have an idea. Watch Peter Fonda come back for one more epic ride – this time with The Coen Brothers.

The film showcases the pure love of driving, the open road and all things automotive. Peter Fonda stars in the ad spot, channeling his 1960’s role as a freewheeling biker and cruising in a new Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster. From his long-time love affair with Mercedes-Benz and to his genuine love for the open road, Fonda was the perfect fit for the role.
Directed by Joel and Ethan Coen
Music: “Born to be Wild” by Steppenwolf

Thanks to Mercedes Benz for the outreach on this incredible vehicle! Why not test-drive the roadster next week?
