Holiday cocktail coverage has to start somewhere and I am thinking NOW!! is a perfect time. I don’t know about you, but doing my holiday shopping despite being online for the most part is so difficult and takes so long to find the right item at the right price along with colors and sizes. And oh yeah.. at the right price too! Interruptions don’t help but a cocktail always soothes the spirit.
Here are three amazing cocktails that feature Jägermeister as the key element. It’s not the typical spirit to start with, but for me, that’s the way I like it! Atypical works for me just about every time. I hope that you find that these cocktail recipes work for you too!
Run Run Reindeer

Ingredients:
0.5 oz Jägermeister Scharf
1.5 oz Makers 46
0.5 oz Lime Juice
0.5 oz Cranberry Pomegranate Syrup
3 dash Miracle Mile Hello Cari Bitters
Method:
Add all ingredients to mixing tin, whip-shake with one piece of ice,
Pour into a collins glass, add ice to fill glass and fill with Q mixers ginger beer.
Garnish with mint sprig
JÄGNOG

Ingredients:
1 part Jägermeister
1 part 5-Year-Old Rum
1 part Amburana Cachaca
1 part Heavy Cream
1 Egg
Grated Nutmeg
Method:
Build all ingredients in a shaker.
Dry shake for five seconds.
Add ice and shake vigorously.
Strain in a chilled coupe glass and garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
Hot Fritzel

.5 oz —Hans Reisetbauer Hazelnut Eau de Vie
1 oz —Jägermeister
.5 oz — Vanilla Brown sugar syrup (house-made)*
3-4 oz— Hot chicory coffee
Fresh whipped cream
Garnish: Dust of cinnamon
Method:
Batch in advance & add hot coffee during production
* Vanilla Brown sugar syrup:
Equal parts sugar to water with vanilla extract to taste!
