While we don’t always need an official holiday to open a bottle of wine, the Fourth of July is a great holiday to celebrate with a few bottles of wine. I have found that crackers and veggies make for great pairings when you are sipping some wine because you want flavors that won’t overwhelm the wine. With wine and light cocktails, a flavored is a nice addition that improves the wine experience. While you might hunt out various types of crackers, here’s an interesting brand that you should try: Mary’s Gone Crackers!

I had not tried “Mary’s Gone Crackers” products before. It’s important for me to try some of the different presentations to help me make some recommendations on the type of wines or cocktails you might want to try with these crackers.
There would be no review without samples. When I write reviews, it’s because I am sharing my thoughts about the product and if I like it. I want to thank “Mary’s Gone Crackers” for sending me some crackers to test drive. The samples don’t affect the review, but the samples make the review possible!
Original:
The Original crackers provide the perfect pairing of toasty flavor and crunchy goodness. These crackers are gluten-free and organic.

Original Basic Ingredients:
Mary’s Gone Crackers® Original Seed Crackers combine organic, gluten-free, whole grain brown rice, quinoa, flax seeds, and sesame seeds to create a cracker with a rich, earthy flavor and a satisfying crunch. The herb, black pepper and, jalapeno versions all have their specific flavor added to the original.
The Original Seed Crackers would be great with any wine you have. If you are trying the Jalapeno flavor, I would suggest a Margarita or a sipping tequila as an option. The Black Pepper would be great with an oaky chardonnay. The Original and Herb would be great with a lighter Pinot Noir or even a Pinot Grigio.
My Review on Mary’s Gone Crackers® Original Seed Crackers
I like these crackers. They have great texture and I like the crispness of them as well. I liked the herb flavor I was sent. I am sure the original is fabulous. The jalapeno would be interesting -particularly if you pair it with a jalapeno cream cheese or spicy cheese. If you want to cool off your taste buds, I would think a good Muenster cheese would be fabulous!

My Review on Mary’s Gone Crackers® Super Seed Crackers:
I like these crackers because they aren’t a traditional cracker. Made of seeds and a few other ingredients, these crackers are yummy because they are so different. I don’t always find a lot of crackers made of seeds and this would be a great brand for someone who has gluten issues or wants to beef up their plant-based diet. It’s a very unique cracker. I got to try the Chili Lime and the Classic Super Seed Cracker. I love the Classic a lot. It’s definitely up my alley. The Chili Lime doesn’t work for my tastebuds. I don’t like “chili” flavoring on any cracker or chip- so it’s not a surprise to me that it wasn’t for me. I am sure that finding a flavor out of the seven choices leaves some options. I would like Rosemary quite a bit.
Real Thins:

My Review of Mary’s Gone Crackers® REAL THIN Crackers :
This is my favorite cracker of all 3. It’s thin, light, and has a very crisp texture and a great snap when you bite into it. Sea Salt would be a great choice. The Sweet Onion is pretty good. I think it’s great because of the delicate flavor allows you to put anything on that cracker– where a savory cream cheese, or a neutral or spicy cheese or even a piece of pepperoni or ham on the Sweet Onion cracker would make anyone smile with how good it tastes. PLUS Mary has recipes on her website so that you can create some really interesting appetizers or snacks!
Suggested Wine + Cracker pairings suggested by Mary’s Gone Crackers!
Like any good wine pairing, crackers and wine should be complementary in flavor and aroma.
Light & Crisp Wines:
For light and crisp wines, more basic and buttery crackers pair well, such as Mary’s Gone Crackers Original and Real Thin Sea Salt flavors. Whether you are sipping Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, or a light Pinot Noir, Rose’ wine or some champagne, the Original Cracker and the Real Thin would be amazing.
Medium-Body Wines:
For medium-bodied wines like Malbec or Grenache reds or more complex Sauvignon Blanc, the crackers with a little more complexity work,–such as Mary’s Seaweed & Black Sesame or Rosemary.
Full-Bodied Wines:
