Whiskey certainly is a versatile spirit and there’s a lot of cocktails that you can create with it. I am sharing a few whiskey cocktails from Woodford Reserve and Proper along with a couple of non-whiskey sips featuring CutWater TEQUILA!!
Woodford Reserve Bourbon Milk Punch
Ingredients:
2 cups cream
2 cups whole milk
1 cup Woodford Reserve bourbon
¾ cup sifted powdered sugar
½ vanilla bean
Fresh grated nutmeg
Method:
In a metal bowl over an ice bath, whisk sugar, cream, milk, and bourbon until nice and frothy.
Add vanilla bean and strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher.
Place pitcher in freezer for 30 minutes to an hour stirring on occasion.
Pour into glass and garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
Proper Cider
(This cocktail sounds yummy for anyone and everyone!)
Ingredients:
2 parts Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
3 parts Warm Apple Cider
Cinnamon stick (optional)
Method:
Combine warm apple cider and Proper No. Twelve.
Garnish with cinnamon stick.
Proper Hot Chocolate
This is one great way of dressing up a cup of hot chocolate!
This is a hot chocolate with a really unique kick!
Ingredients:
1 part Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
4 parts Hot Chocolate
Method:
In a mug, combine hot chocolate and Proper No. Twelve.
Top with marshmallows or whipped cream.
Let’s shift gears and dive into a bit of tequila!
Holiday Margarita
I love the look and mixture of this Holiday Margarita. Cutwater’s Tequila is top-notch. Most people know Cutwater for their
canned cocktails but don’t forget about their bottled spirits that have won so many awards.
Ingredients:
2oz Cutwater Blanco Tequila
.75oz pomegranate juice
.75oz lime juice
.5oz agave
.5oz cranberry juice
Salted rim and lime wheel
Method:
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
Add ice and shake until cold.
Strain over fresh ice.
Garnish with lime wheel.
Red Ryder
Featuring the Cutwater Reposado Tequila in this cocktail gives it a polish and flare that most tequilas are unable to deliver!
Ingredients:
2oz Cutwater Reposado Tequila
.5oz Crème De Cacao
.75oz lemon juice
.25oz maple syrup
Cardamom powder and lemon wheel
Method:
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
Add ice and shake until cold.
Strain over fresh ice.
Top with cardamom powder.
