Prima ballerina Misty Copeland looked beautiful last night wearing Bach Mai as she joined Charlize Theron to celebrate the new Breitling store on Madison Avenue.

Misty Copeland wore a frost gray moiré sculpted back jacket with bracelet sleeves and a banded collar paired with a moiré volant skirt, both from Bach Mai’s debut Spring/Summer 2022 Collection.

About Bach Mai:
Born and raised in Houston, Texas to Vietnamese immigrant parents, Bach Mai developed a love for fashion and particularly haute couture at a young age. He went on to study fashion design at Parsons’ New School for Design. Following stints at Oscar de la Renta and Prabal Gurung and holding a master’s degree from the Institut Francais de la Mode in Paris, Bach joined the team at Maison Margiela under John Galliano during the development of the debut Spring Summer 2015 Artisanal Haute Couture collection. He was taken under the wing of John Galliano and soon became First Design Assistant to the Creative Director with a focus on the Artisanal Haute Couture collections. Bach returned to New York in 2019 with the goal of creating his own eponymous brand.
For Spring/Summer 2022, Bach Mai launches with a partnership with Hurel, one of the oldest fabric houses in France. The Bach Mai brand espouses a belief in irreverent glamour and unabashed femininity. A luxury ready-to-wear and made-to-order collection that has couture aspirations, he hopes to have his own couture atelier one day capable of producing at the level of the ateliers in Paris while displaying the beauty and know-how of American craftsmanship.
