Author It’s the next round of COACHELLA!! This might be a different roster of music for the weekend but it doesn’t mean that it won’t be hot, wild and crazy. But you do need to take a few things with you and I have curated a slew of things for guys, girls and things that you can share. Do NOT FORGET the blankets, sunblock, pillows and extra stuff to toss into the trunk of your car just in case you need them.

The One Eyed Gypsy sounds like a really unique venue and is the latest bar from nightlife entrepreneur, Dana Hollister. Located in the Artist District building that can trace its roots back to the 1880s, the concept is the idea of a vintage traveling carnival.Talk about really pushing that envelope, Hollister has created an ambiance that is truly an excursion into the looking glass.

St. Patrick’s Day here in So. California is actually a holiday we take very seriously. There are a lot of Irish people and I think the camaraderie of an Irish pub (and flowing beer mixed with great food) brings out the “Irish” in all of us! Down by where I live, about 7 minutes away on two city blocks there are THREE Irish pubs! Go figure! It gets pretty crazy down there in the celebration.

If you are watching Justified starring Timothy Oliphant, then you would recognize the opening music is something really unique. It introduces and puts you in a musical and geographic location which is Appalachia with a serious “street” edge. It’s very much like the lead character and some of the other characters within the show and it’s the introduction that pushes you down the rabbit hole that is “Justified” and the percussion that kicks it off is the heart beat that threads through the show.

The Importance of Touch and Outreach to Those with Dementia and/or Alzheimers. Video!
Found on Facebook, shared by Dex Phillips who got it from Helen Sanderson & Associates. It’s one of the most potent, affecting and interesting videos to teach ME something about dementia and Alzheimer’s. I know enough about the disease to speak somewhat knowledgeably but this video goes much deeper than the knowledge I had or any experiences I have had in that sector and with that disease.
