Jill Alberts is a name you need to learn, know, recognize! Who is she? Jill Alberts is an incredible  jewlery designer who takes her inspiration from vintage jewelry and translates that inspiration into contemporary jewelry pieces with a distinctive modern flare yet each piece signals a nod to its heritage. Since 1997, she has covered the globe searching for rare pieces: bar pins, lockets, pendants, broaches and bracelets. Albert even seeks out intricate fabrics for inspiration as well and then spins a new design with distinct retro influences that’s shown in necklaces, lariats, earrings, bracelets and more.

Alberts’ first success is to find a slot for her line at the eponymous Ron Herman on Melrose at Fred Segal.  This is a major west coast presence for Alberts whose intricate designs are loved by  fashionistas and celebrities alike. Her cult status makes her jewelry much coveted by collectors.   
Ron Herman will be featuring the semi-precious pendant necklaces, the latest styles from Alberts’ signature  Gold Lace  collection, where spun gold is hand-made into a lace-like fabric for earrings, cuffs, and collar-type necklaces. Alberts’  Vintage collection features one-of-a-kind lockets, chains, cameos and other unique  pieces from her travels that are featured in a more contemporary presentation.

Her second success is to be named as one of  Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion on Sept 29 in Chicago , her  homebase, which coincides with the launch of Chicago’s Fashion Focus–a two week event focusing on the windy city’s fashion industry.  Alberts joins  the likes of Rebecca Taylor, Chaiken and Zac Posen as one of the winners of the Fresh Face award.

Alberts was seen at a Silver Spoon event in 2004 where her gorgeous jewelry was featured along with her personal appearance to talk to media and celebs. This is where I first saw her phenomenal pieces.. and trust me these pieces are luscious. LOVE LOVE LOVE the feel, the presentation, the way that she has duplicated the look of lace into golden jewelry with the delicacy of lace!
