New York Fashion Week– What Does a Girl Wear to NYFW?

Nancy Lichtenstein gives us the “everywoman” view of New York Fashion Week taking on the Bryant Parks Big Tents and here’s what she decided to wear for her second foray into the world of fashion!
From the Desk of Nancy Lichtenstein:
So now it’s my second day of NY Fashion Week and Gina and I have already kidded ourselves into thinking that we’re old pros at this. By the end of last night I was introducing myself to people as a reporter and being picky about which events to attend. It’s a good thing I didn’t know what was in store today or I would have remained paralyzed in fear in front of my closet and never left my house.

I felt just the tiniest bit overdressed yesterday, so I decided to go for a more laid-back look: Paige Premium Denim jeans, which I wore rolled up at the ankles to disguise the fact that they’re boot-cut, which is supremely un-cool in NYC right now, and to show off my 5 inch laser-cut brown platform Biba Mary Janes, which my family was worried were going to land me in the hospital. (I will go to my grave swearing that they’re comfortable.) I topped this with a blood-red deep V-neck top and a teal satin camisole from Sears, chosen because Ashleigh Verrier featured a great deal of teal satinin her previous collection.
