The Red Carpet Style Review is back with Part 4 of the Grammy Red Carpet and Michaela Jedinak’s commentary on the fashion winners — and losers- for that night!

Note that there is one Grammy image and one “about town image during Grammy suite time for this post!
Rihanna
Colour: She makes it work by wearing the whole outfit in a sharp, glossy style, which is cutting edge and tuned for this occasion.
Shape: She has the long waist, the bosom, the long perfect legs- she has the body for this “ballerina” style dress. She can deal with all the extra fabric around her waist due to a lean perfect figure and it looks beautiful because it gives her as well nice curves, but gives it a well a nice soft counter balance to the sharp colour, nail varnish and accessories.
Style: Dress colour is not only spot on with fashion, but also her neon nail varnish- great choice to combine it with this dress-but also for the Grammy’s. It gives the outfit a bit more attitude and transforms it to a hot sexy night out outfit but keeping the class of gown and wearer. She also is not missing out on the very in fashion bangles, which picks up in tone and style with shoes.
Overall rating:5***** Five Stars
As a point of reference here, compare the red carpet styles of anyone in any of these series and realize that celebrities really do need stylists (despite some of the really wrong moves that can be done in spite of having one on board). Here’s a street shot of La Lohan shopping in Beverly Hills during Grammy week. Have to say, it’s not very impressive is it? Let’s see what Michaela thinks!
Lindsay Lohan
Colour: Ok
Shape: The shape makes her look quite awkward- it creates the wrong bulk and therefore balance around the hips. But I am giving her the benefit of the doubt because it could be as well the wind blowing up the dress, but still the pleats on the bottom of the dress are not very flattering for her legs. It finishes at a fuller point of her leg.
Style: I guess it is all about a” Sex and Rock’n Roll” image here, but personally I am totally against wearing biker boots or anything like it with a mini dress outfit- unless you combine it with tights or trousers that cover up your bare legs. It just looks odd to wear such a heavy thick gear with so little on- the whole look looks incomplete. It looks like she is trying too hard for this kind of image, but not going the extra mile to complete the outfit.
Overall Rating:* One Star
