Celebrity Review: Carla Bruni, France’s First Lady (and former model & girlfriend of Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton and many other celebrity types)
Carla Bruni
Colour: Right on trend as you would expect from a former super model. It looks great with her colouring and it is also a great choice for the type of event where you need to stand out and to be seen without being too obvious.
Shape: The dress fits like a glove- it follows her body line – is fitted at the right places and has the perfect hemline. The thing I don’t consider 100% perfect is her neckline. She has a long and thin neck but a longer jaw line that shortens her neck from the front and there she need to follow similar rules as someone with a short neck. Therefore she should opt for neckline that does not sit above her collar line.
Style: I must admit I am bit shocked to see her in not tights, no cardigan or anything similar to cover her arms up. Considering it is indoor event and the time of year it looks too naked and therefore inappropriate for the occasion. Also the granny bag and with theme alike shoes do not go with this under dressed look- they look too harsh.
Overall Rating: 4**** Four Stars

Carla Bruni
Colour: The colour combination works for Carla here as well- the purple adds enough depth to balances with the lighter shade of grey.
Body shape: The suit is loose fitted so it looks sophisticated and elegant on her frame. Her belt breaks her tall frame and gives it a focus point by showing off her perfect proportion. Her double breasted coat is fitted perfectly along her shoulder line, so it gives her frame structure without looking too stiff.
Style: Great look and outfit for a business lunch. She looks laid back by opting for a purple coat, open hair and a loose fit in her trouser suit but keeping it business by opting for grey trouser suit rather than for a pretty figure hugging skirt or dress suit. It all looks classy and sophisticated by matching the outfit with a granny handbag, which balances the colour in her coat perfectly by tuning down the trendyness and fashion of it.
Overall Rating: 6****** Six Stars
