It’s time for Celebrity Style Slam!– UK Stylist Michaela Jedinak’s commentary on the celebrity fashion winners and losers. Michaela comments regularly on a variety of current celebrities at events or about town and how their style chalks up in her typical “call them as she sees them” manner.

Celebrities Featured: Cameron Diaz and Brenda Song

Brenda Song

Colour: Great colour play and combination for her- the cooler colours are working with her dark hair and eyes and the warmer ones balance nicely her skin colour.
Bodyshape: The shift dress drapes softly around her petite frame and bodyshape without overpowering it in fabric or size of pattern. But the neckline is not ideal for her though she has a beautiful long and thin neck. Her head with her long hair wearing open appears in proportion bigger than her body therefore she should be opting for necklines which correct this look.
Style: The colours, the loose shape and print look fun and right for the occasion. Also, that the dress has some pockets makes it more casual and easy going. The watermelon shoes are picking up on the watermelon colour in the dress and since she is shorter in height it is understandable that she opts for high heels- you got to stand out since kids are quite tall for their age these days.
Overall Rating: 5***** Five Stars

Cameron Diaz

Colour: The softer colour print on her dress and as well the softer white look pretty on her, but definitely not the pure white jacket- it is far too harsh for her complexion and you just don’t combine different whites together as she did here with pure and soft white.
Bodyshape: The billowing shift dress and the oversized jacket look chunky and are messing with her beautiful figure! Such a décolleté line in dress is not for someone with small bust and the result is that the dress is totally disguising any sign of waist and proportion. Also her décolleté line below collar bone and bust line appears far too big in proportion to the size of her bust.
If she had to wear this dress she should have opted for a jacket which was more fitted and brought her waist out to play. It looks all shapeless and messy. This time even her great legs can’t correct this very unflattering look of hers.
Style At least she kept the same theme going with her hair! It is not elegant, it is not relaxed, it is not formal , it is not playful…it is something in between…looks just that she is not knowing what she is doing and going for.
The whole outfit is put together half heartedly and why is she teaming these heeled shoes with the dress that has more of a dressy touch? She is tall enough and should have been comfortable wearing fun coloured or printed or both ballerinas…it would have been at least more consistent with her look and occasion. Really disappointed here!
