Celebrities Reviewed: Deborah Messing (Starter Wife) and Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City)
Deborah Messing

Color: Normally black is not an easy colour to pull off for redheads, but if you do it like Messing has done, you might have a winner. She keeps the black at a distance from her face and wears her thick, beautiful, red hair down and loose so it distracts enough from the stark black colour that is harsh against her skintone
Body Shape: Overall the shape works well for her body. Its Empire line elongates her leg line and the ruffles sit at a part of her body that flatters her figure but gives the whole outfit a nice shape.
Style: Her choices of accessories in jewellery and bag are fantastic by keeping them in neutral colour, so that they don’t distract from the main feature of her look: her red hair. The dress and hair works nicely together by keeping it easy, airy, fresh and youthful but with a sophisticated elegance that shows in her choice jewelry.
But her mistake is that one should not wear plunging décolleté, corsage or bustier when one is flat chested. Styles like that are meant to be filled –not empty. It is destroying the line and shape of the dress! It looks like if she wears to flat tires in the front!
Overall Rating: 4**** Four Stars

Cynthia Nixon
cynthia-nxion.jpg
Color: The peppermint colour is a fantastic choice to set off her porcelain skin and her red hair.
Style: The chunky bracelet works well on her long lean arms. However this is the end of the good news.
Body Shape: Due to her weight loss her bodyshape has changed. Her silhouette is now very lean and shows her longer waist and smaller bust. To able to wear such a décolleté , you need to have a fuller bosom to create the curves and shape the dress
It looks dead straight on her from top to toe. It is never advisable to have a lower plunging neckline when you have a small bust. You have to wear styles in the way they are meant to be. She could have helped the dress giving some shape by having a belt or a feature at her waist.
Cynthia has a beautiful long neck and with her leaner silhouette and smaller bust, she would have looked more dramatic wearing a halter or a one-shoulder dress. In choosing one of those styles, the drama is in your décolleté, shoulder and neckline area and would underscore her features in a positive light.
Chunky earrings would have looked great on her and given some volume and attention to the top. Her hair lacks a real style or shape: it just looks messy and really doesn’t go with the dress nor does her clutch handbag. . Sorry, but that is really a miss!
Overall Rating:2** ( the colour is saving her from worse!) Two Stars
