Oprah to Twitter with Ashton Kutcher Friday 4/17– According to Techcrunch.com

Techcrunch.com blog ran a post today stating that Oprah announced on Facebook today that she and Ashton Kutcher are going to tweet to each other!! Her twitter id is @Oprah

TechCrunch.com also reported that TWITTER CEO Evan Williams commented (ok– tweeted) earlier today…:
“Tomorrow just became a very big day. (Sorry for the teaser — more later.),” he wrote. And it should be a very big day indeed. Oprah is known for her loyal (some may say “rabid”) following, as she can turn any book or product she talks about on her show into pure gold.
Twitter will likely be no different. I suspect Twitter may see its biggest one day jump in new sign ups tomorrow — certainly, it will be the largest influx of women of a certain age group into the service in one day.

Part ot the thrill of the event is that Ashton has pledged to help eradicate Malaria in African if he reaches one million followers via the Malaria No More Fund .
